Hello!

The other day I was in my local Superdrug, and I saw that they had a 3 for 2 on L'Oreal. Originally I was going to get my foundation because I am running out, only they didn't have it! So instead I picked up a mascara, which I also needed, and I decided to test out a couple of other things that I've been eyeing up. I got the Miss Hippie Mascara, the Brow Artist Maker and the Infallible Matte Max Lipstick.

First is the Miss Hippie mascara. My mascara has hit it's sell by date, and I needed a new one. I was using the Kiko Milano Star Sculpt mascara, but I think it was an exclusive at Christmas as I can't find it anywhere. I've wanted to try this for a while as i love voluminous lashes especially for when I don't want to wear false lashes.

I always get scared when trying a new mascara as I once had a bad reaction to a Rimmel London Kate Moss one (I can't find it on the website, maybe they discontinued it?) But yes, my eyes stung and watered and I couldn't see and it was awful.

Luckily, I haven't had a reaction to this which is great because I LOVE it!

Big brushes on mascaras are my fave as I find they give me the exact look that I am going for.

Next is the Brow Artist Maker.

I have never been so disappointed by a product, which is a shame because I have really wanted to try this out for a while.

I usually use a powder on my eyebrows, but recently I have been looking at other things to try.

This is a double ended product, with a crayon on the one end and a mini kabuki brush on the other.

Now, when I swatched this, it came out brown, which I would expect as I picked up the shade 02 Light Brunette.

But when I used it on my brows, I was utterly horrified as it came out black!!

I was so unimpressed with this that I took it straight off and used my normal brow product. The colour was just far too dark for me, and looked utterly ridiculous with my red hair.

While the brush on this is great, I wouldn't buy this just for the brush as that's a bit of a waste.

Finally I picked up the Infallible Matte Max Lipstick in the shade 001 Silencio.

I wanted to try this because I don't think I've seen anything like this before. 

There's a little sponge applicator, and the actual product is in the lid of the lipstick.

I also love the colour, as I don't have anything quite like this, and I can't justify buying another completely nude shade!

I feel that the colour compliments my hair, which makes a change because I have to be careful with lipsticks, for instance, red red's look fine, but more orange tone reds don't suit me as well.

The colour is quite sheer, although I may just think this because I am a liquid lipstick junkie and I am used to a full coverage. The only issue I had with this was that it was quite drying, but I reckon that it was because I hadn't used a lip balm beforehand, so I will have to try that next time!

There are quite a few shades in this range, but I'm not sure if I will pick up anymore as this one was by far the one that stood out the most to me.

I hope this post has given you a few ideas about some L'Oreal products, and whether you want to try them out or not.

Hello!

Today I have a short post reviewing the L'Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist. and let me tell you, this stuff does the job!

I wanted the All Nighter Setting Spray from Urban Decay, but I'm on a budget these days now I have a car to pay for!

The other day, i was at a party, and I accidentally walked full force into a glass door. Obviously, it was hilarious, but it also hurt and made me laugh-cry. But thanks to this spray, my makeup didn't even streak! Which was a bonus.

The mist retails for £7.99 which really isn't a bad price. It has quite a strong smell, it kind of reminds me of the sea, the saltiness of it. I don't know, but I definitely smell it throughout the day.

I use the L'Oreal Infallible Sculpt Foundation in Light/Medium, and this works really well with it.

There's a spray pump to disperse the spray, but it's important to shake this up and pump it fast! I didn't do this to begin with and you could noticibly see the spray on my face, and at first I thought it was toothpaste and got very confused.

I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a high street version of Urban Decay Setting Spray, it makes my makeup last all day in the heat, at work, even when accidentally walking into windows!

Hello!

Today I have a tutorial on this eye look, which kind of reminds me of fire? I don't know, maybe it's just me. I originally started with the intention of it being a copper eye look but then this just happened so I went with it. I hope you enjoy!

For my first transition shade I used Naked from the Urban Decay Naked palette, which is my new favourite transition shade (finally getting over my Substitute For Love obsession)

Then I followed with the shade Buck just underneath to deepen up my crease.

Then I used the deeper shade from the L'Oreal Blush Sculpt in Nude Beige on the outer corner.

In the inner corner, I used Bronze from the Makeup Revolution Beyond Flawless palette. You would think from the name that this would be a perfect shade for a copper look, but no, it came out a gold shade???

After adding eyeliner, I used the same blush shade on my lower lash line.

After adding mascara I was done! I'm not too sure about the eyeliner, I wish I had made the wing longer but oh well, who gets their eyeliner perfect every time?

Hello!

Today I decided that I wanted to about 4 new products I have been using. They're all face products and I've enjoyed trying them out, and most of them are going to stay in my usual routine.

First off, is Lemon Aid from Benefit. This is a colour correcting primer for your eye lids, but I've been using as a colour corrector underneath my eyes. I works amazingly and cancels out the red/purple tones. You don't need a lot of product with this, although I don't blend it in. It feels almost waxy to me but not in a bad way. The packaging is also so cute, I love the simplicity of the black and yellow.

Price: £16.50

Next is this little gem, the Lasting Perfection Concealer from Collection. I've seen so many great reviews about this and now that I've finally tried it out, it didn't disappoint. I got the shade "Fair"as I'm basically transparent a lot of the time. This is great coverage and brightens up all the areas I need, especially under my eyes. I may even use this to replace my usual concealer, which is the Hide and Conceal by MUA.

Price: £4.19

I've recently tried the Garnier BB Cream in Light instead of my usual foundation. I've never used a BB Cream before, and in all honesty I'm not sure what the difference between a BB cream and a CC cream is (maybe I should find that out). I got this in a set along with a skin spray thing to get glowy skin. While I can't say this BB cream made my skin noticeably brighter, it did give me more coverage than I expected. I used my usual amount that I would with my regular foundation, only I used just half of this, so a little bit goes a long way. The shade is Light, but it's still a little bit too dark for me but it evened out once I added concealer.

Price: £6.66

Finally is the L'Oreal Infallible Sculpt. I LOVE this! (As you can probably see by the fact that I've hit pan on each side). I've used the Clinique chubby stick as a cream contour before, but this contour cream is amazing! It turns into a powder once blended and is a very subtle contour, it doesn't leave dirt like streaks down my face. But on days when I want a more dramatic look I do put another powder over the top and bronze up my face as well, although this really isn't needed. The kit comes with a leaflet with instructions on how to contour properly. I may do a post on this as I have the whole kit, so stay tuned!

So today I had one of my usual no makeup Monday's, which is great to give my skin a rest, but for some reason, today it made me realise just how red and dark under my eyes really are. Even with my usual concealer and foundation, it's still pretty obvious just how tired I am. So after doing a bit of research, I decided to buy L'Oreal's Lumi Magique Highlighting Pen/Concealer as it is apparently one of the best high street concealers. Originally I was going to buy the concealer that matches my foundation, with is the True Match Foundation by Rimmel London. However, upon reading reviews, I found out that it comes out cakey and doesn't give great coverage. But with the L'Oreal concealer, I couldn't find many reviews that slated it.

I went for shade #2 in medium, as shade #1 in ivory seemed a little too light for my skin tone. I had really high hopes for this concealer, especially as it could double as a highlighter, and who can resist a 2 in 1? And I wasn't disappointed by this. It covered my dark circles amazingly, it was almost like they didn't exist, which is a first for me in 3 years. It also makes a great highlighter when I applied it in the usual places (cheekbones, chin, nose and cupids bow), yet it wasn't an overpowering highlighter which I quite dislike on me.

The packaging is incredibly pretty in a rose gold, and the brush is quite soft on the face. The bottom twists to release the liquid into the brush. To begin with it took a while to get the product to come out, but be careful as a little of this can go a long way, so don't twist it too fast!
Overall, I'm very pleased with this, and it is worth way beyond it's £8.49 price. I have a feeling that it's going to take a while before I change concealer again.
