Just some random, unedited photos of mine.
I've heard about Zoeva for a while, and I've been eager to try out a palette for a long time, so when I was on Beauty Bay the other day Christmas shopping, I couldn't help but treat myself.
First of all, can we just take a moment to appreciate the packaging? It's absolutely gorgeous. The palette comes in a cardboard sleeve, and both are brown with gold detailing.
When you open the palette, you are greeted by ten gorgeous shades, all of which are highly pigmented. The only fault I have with this is there isn't a mirror, but that's not a major issue.
There is a mix of four matte shades and six shimmer.
Bitter Start is a matte cream colour, perfects for days when you don't want a shimmer highlight. Sweeter End reminds me of a subtle version of Sin for the Naked palette. Pure Ganache is a golden colour, and I think mixed with Substitute For Love which is more orangey, it will make a perfect holiday look. While I would class Substitute For Love as a matte shade, it does have subtle flecks of gold glitter in it.
Warm Notes, a gorgeous cranberry shade, and Infusion, a gold glittery brown shade, are my two favourite colours from this palette. Subtle Blend is the perfect bronze shade, while Freshly Toasted is a nice reddy-brown, a shade which I think is quite unusual.
Finally, we have Beans Are White, a brown almost black shade, that appears to have a purple sheen to it, which is so unusual. And Delicate Acidity is a perfect shimmer purple shade.
Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with this palette, and I can't wait to create many looks with it. The shades are all highly pigmented, and at £15.50, I don't think it is a bad price at all for the product you get, and it would make the perfect gift for any makeup lover at this time of the year.

Anyone who knows me will know just how obsessed with unicorns I am, so when I saw that Makeup Revolution had a lipstick collection out called Unicorns Unite I just HAD to have it. (Er hello, two of my favourite things combined). At just £1 each, you really can't complain at this utter bargain, especially when all 5 colours are only £4 when bought together on their website. And if it couldn't get any better, the main colour scheme is purple, my fave.
When I first opened the package, I was a little disappointed as I thought the shades Throne and Legend were quite similar.
But actually, Legend is darker than Throne, I think it was just my eyesight playing up.
Magical is the first shade I opened. In the packaging it kind of looked like a dark blue, but it's actually a nice rich purple. However, the pigmentation of this lipstick is probably the worst out of the collection although I think this could be fixed with a liner underneath.
Next came Pink Myth, probably the most wearable shade of the group. It's a bright pink with a subtle hint of shimmer, and somewhat reminds me of Barbie maybe?
Next is Horn Of Magic, and absolutely gorgeous shade that reminds me of Frozen and just snow in general. It's also a very unusual shade, I don't actually think I've seen it before.
Legend I think is my favourite shade. It's an in between shade of Magical and Throne. I can see myself wearing this a lot with dark outfits (which is all I ever wear). I also think that it was the easiest to apply and longest wearing.
And finally we have Throne, the iciest purple shade I have ever seen. I'm thinking of working on a look with this as it has given me some ideas for a tutorial, so watch this space!

It has been absolutely ages since I did a "tutorial" style post, so today I thought I would share my take on a simple smokey neutral eye using the Urban Decay Naked palette. This only uses four colours and is mega easy, I love doing it.
First of all, I primed my eyelid with concealer and set with Foxy from the Naked Basics palette. Then I put the shade Naked from the Naked palette all over my lid.
Then I went in with the shade Buck on my crease to add some definition.
After that I darkened the outer corner and crease more with Darkhorse, and blended the colours up. I also highlighted my brow with Venus. (I feel like this photo doesn't show the darker shade too well, but trust me it's there!)
I then added eyeliner to my top lid, without creating too much of a wing. I smudged Buck very lightly under my eye and used eyeliner on my waterline, finishing it off with mascara.
