Why hey there!

Today I have a haul that only has one, yes ONE, piece of makeup in it!
I have put myself on somewhat of a ban, I am only going to be buying the essentials, such as foundation etc. for a while because I need to use up what I have!

But the other day I went shopping with my friend, and I picked up some stuff and I thought I would share. I have also included a couple of books I bought a different time just cause they're cool.

(Most of the stuff I got is from Primark)

Primark

First up I have these gooorgeous pug pyjamas. I call them my pugjamas. They are so comfy and I want to see if Primark do any other designs in this style because they are perfect for lounging around in.

Next up, I got this glass jar in the shape of a skull!! I just really liked it, and my other glass jar is not skull shaped, nor does it have a straw.

I got some bobby pins because I literally had none left. These also come in a case, so I'm hoping this will make them less easy to lose? Either that or I'll lose the case and all 100 will be gone forever.

I got some plain black socks.

And I also got these wicked dinosaur socks because I thought they were really cool. Who doesn't want dinosaur socks?

I bought some of these hair bobbles, the plastic spiral ones? I heard they don't snag, and they are also really comfy when you are lying down!

I got these high rise leggings with a mesh detail at the bottom for when I am doing sporty things. I ordered some actua trainers the other day too, I haven't owned proper trainers since about year 10 when I discovered that I could wear Converse in PE...

I'm adoring the embroidery trend (have you seen my post on my new boots?) and when I saw this playsuit I fell in love! It was the last one left, in my size AND only £5 in the sale. Bargain or what?

The only piece of makeup! This lipstick is one of my all time faves, and I wanted a back up of it because I rarely see it in store. It's called Pink In Excess, if you're wondering.

H&M

I got a rather boring lint roller... you never know when you need one, especially when you have a dog!

I bought this dress, and I really like it but I don't know if I would wear it?? I ended up wearing the playsuit in the end, so I'm half tempted to return this...

Lush

I got my fvourite hair conditioner, American Cream. I love this, and refuse to wear any other conditioner haha. Who's ready for my Lush Valentine's post coming up soon??

Books

I got The Art of Happiness by HH Dalai Lama and Howard C. Cutler. I think this is just an important book to read. I'm starting to try and read more non-fiction as I think it's just as important as losing yourself in a fantasy world.

Equally as important, I got The Feminine Mystique by Betty Friedan. I've started reading this already, and it's amazing! Seriously, every woman should read this.

I hope you enjoyed my lil haul, and I will see you in my next post

Hey there!

Today I have a post on the Soap And Glory Supercat Eyeliner.
I am fairly new to Soap and Glory, but they very very few products from them that I have tried I have been super impressed with, and this eyeliner is just the same!

I comes in this black pen form, and is actually quite thin, The packaging itself is very glossy, which makes it feel a bit more high end, the Collection felt tip liner I used to use definitely felt "cheap" in a way. How snobby of me haha.

The brush itself is like other felt tip liners that I have used...

... but as you can see from here, it's a bit easier to control the thickness of the brush unlike others I've tried.

I really like this eyeliner, I've been using it for about a week now and it's much better than the one I used t use, but I will keep trying it out and will keep you informed!

Hello!!

So this year, I want to post more things that aren't makeup related. Obviously, I love love love makeup, but I want to post more of the other things in life that I love!
So to kick off this new part of my blog, I thought I would share with you my new absolutely gorgeous boots from Missguided.

Last year I bought myself my very first pair of Doc Martens, and it seems to be a tradition at the start of the new year where I buy myself a new pair of shoes: new year, not so new me. I have a shoe addiction, I know.
I saw these shoes on a video from Tasha Leelyn and I was in love!

They are this western style pair of ankle boots, with these embroidered roses, and they are also studded.
As soon as I saw these in her video, I knew instantly that I needed them (I didn't, but you get what I mean). And I also knew that they would go perfectly with my fringed jacket that I got from Forever 21 last March.

The front of the boots have 3 roses embroidered on them. I have seen a lot of these western style boots, but I thought the roses on these made them look a little more different, and we all know that embroidery is in right now, I just thought that this would be a subtle way to follow the trend, and these will still be wearable when the trend fades out.

The boots also have studs round the front, sides and back, and another rose embroidered on the sides.

They have a slight block heel, but nothing too high. The soles are like "proper" soles, do you get me? Haha, what I mean by that is they aren't rubber, which gives an even better "western" feel to the boots.

These fit really nicely. I tried some on in a similar style from Office before Christmas, but they pinched too much by the toes. There is a slight "pinch" at the front, but these are really comfy to wear and it's not too noticeable. The size is true to fit, I am a size 6 UK and they fit completely fine!

If you like the look of these, you can check them out here: https://www.missguided.co.uk/black-embroidered-western-ankle-boots

I plan to do more "fashion" posts, mainly look books or outfits of the week and things like that, as I really want to broaden my blog and post new things!

Thanks for reading!

Hello!

And welcome to my first haul of 2017!
I have been a little absent since Christmas Eve, mainly because Blogmas took a lot out of me! But I'm back and ready with loads of ideas for the new year!
The other day, I went to Hobbycraft with my best pale Kirsty (check out her blog here) to get something for Uni, and next to it was a Boots, and I couldn't resist a mooch! I picked up a few things, but I didn't get the one thing I really needed because it must have fallen out of the gaps in my basket which was super annoying! But I'm happy with the other things I got so it's okay!

Firstly I have my go to lashes, Ardell Demi Wispies. I loooove these, they are my favourite but I'd ran out! So I picked up a pack, because it has been a while since I used some fake lashes and I've been missing them!

I got a couple of things from Soap and Glory. Firstly, I got this body spray in Original Pink. I have a Victoria Secret spray in Love Spell, and my perfume Prada Candy Florale (which is obviously just for special occasions haha!) But I get a bit bored of just 2 scents, so I picked this up because I liked the scent, and I also plan to get Vanillary from Lush too!
But this scent, I can't even describe it other than it literally smells like Soap and Glory, it reminds me most of Hand Food tbh!

I also got the Supercat Carbon Black Extreme Eyeliner Pen because I needed a better eyeliner, but I will be doing a separate post on this eyeliner!

I finally got a matte topcoat! I love matte nails and I've been meaning to get this topcoat from Barry M for like a year now so I can finally have the matte nails I love!

Finally, I of course, picked up some stuff from my fave NYX. Firstly I got the Studio HD Finishing Powder. I might do a post on this too?? I'm not sure yet, I just knew I had to stop using talcum powder hahaha.

I also got a couple of their Lip Smacking Fun Colours. I got this colour in 561, which I got because I was looking at Mercy by Kat Von D, and this looked similar to that for a fraction of the price!

Then I also got this shade in 629. This is a really nice cool toned purple/grey/nude and I love it!

Neither of these are matte, but I might look into buying a matte topcoat for my lips??

Thank you for reading, and I will see you on Wednesday for my usual scheduling!

SO. I wasn't sure if I was going to do a post on this powder, and I eventually decided that I wasn't... but then I actually used it and a DISASTER happened!
So, I was going out, and I thought I would bake with this powder and see whether it was any good. I've heard such good reviews about this, and I was mega excited to try it. I finished my makeup and went about my business for the evening before I went out. And then cause I was feeling my look, I thought I would take some photos using my ring light on my camera for Instagram.

Can you see that??? Can you see all the white powder still on my face?? If I hadn't have put my face under such a bright light I would never have known and I would have gone out like this!!
It took so long to fix it as well, I brushed it off as much as I could with my Spectrum powder brush, but it was really hard! I ended up fixing it with my Makeup Revolution Pressed Powder.

But I was so confused! I used this exactly the same as any of the other loose powders I have tried, and they've never ever done this. I did my base before my eye makeup so it wasn't like I was being careful to not wipe off my eyeshadow.

I'm going to give this another try at some point, and see if I can make it work, if you have any idea about what I did please let me know because I am clueless haha!

Hello! And Happy New Year.

Last year I did a "2016 Goals" post, and I thought that I would do another one for 2017.
2016 was a mixed bag of beans for me. I lost my Nan, my friend in a motorbike accident, and my beloved dog. But I also got into university, and traveled more and definitely took more photos and blogged a lot. I'm hoping 2017 opens some doors for me, and that I continue to grow more into the person I started to become in the latter half of 2016.

So, in no praticular order:

  1. Blog more.
  2. Start a YouTube.
  3. Take more photos.
  4. Post every day on my photography Instagram.
  5. Start shooting more on film.
  6. Meditate.
  7. Read every day.
  8. Have more "me time".
  9. Read/watch more on feminism.
  10. Manage my time more wisely
  11. Keep up with my bullet journal.
  12. Appreciate the small moments more.
  13. Tidy more often.
  14. Keep remembering who isn't worth my time.
  15. Exercise.
  16. Get more tattoos.
  17. Think outside the box.
  18. Save money.
  19. Hug my dog more.
  20. Work as hard as I possibly can.
