The Bloggers Hangout
Hello and welcome!
Today I have a post about the Blogger's Hangout Event in London on Friday 24th June! I had so much fun, and met some lovely people and all of us bloggers were well and truly spoilt! If you don't know what The Bloggers Hangout is, check it out at http://www.thebloggershangout.com/
The Bloggers Hangout is basically a networking system for bloggers to team up with brands and like minded people, which is a great way to get yourself out there and your blog seen.
In this post, I want to show you all of the goodies I was given, and I am so grateful for everything I recieved! And I just want to point out as a disclaimer, that all of the opinions in this post are 100% my own.
After a 3 hour coach journey, I finally arrived in London quite early for the event. I took an Uber to Charing Cross Station, and found a Starbucks to get some food and a cuppa.
The event started at one, and I arrived at half 12, very early!
Firstly, I will show you the items that The Bloggers Hangout put together for us in a goodie bag.
These bars are from The Primal Pantry and are all raw paleo and super healthy! Which is great, because I really need to stop snacking on chocolate and crisps all the time!
There are 5 different flavours, my bet is that I'll like the Hazelnut and Cocoa one the best because I love anything hazelnut!
Next is a nail wrap set from Dink Belle. I'm actually giving this one to my nan, as she can't wear nail varnish and I was assured by the lady at the stand that these are non toxic and my nan shouldn't be allergic, and I am keeping the pack that I picked up from the stand (shown down later in this post)
Next in the bag was this Hi Brow powder quad and a brush. I LOVE using powder on my brows, so I'm excited to try these.
My plan for the colours that obviously aren't going to suit me is to use them as eyeshadows so I still get a use out of them.
And finally is this Bounce Cacao Orange Protein Burst. I'm actually mega excited to try this because if I like it, it could be a good protein pick me up now that I have turned vegetarian.
The first stand I went to was The Pink Parcel. If you haven't heard of The Pink Parcel then, er, why??
The Pink Parcel is a subscription box that delivers goodies once a month for when you are on your period, including pads/tampons and things to give you a little pick up.
On Friday, they gave us our own mini Pink Parcel of goodies, some tampons and sweets!
First of all, is this lipstick from the brand New Cid.
The unique thing about this lipstick is that it has a built in light and mirror, so you can easily apply your lipstick in the dark, which I think is such a genius and original idea as there is nothing worse than having to queue up in club bathrooms JUST to reapply your lipstick.
Next is this cute nail varnish from Lottie London. I love the colour of this, and I've wanted to try Lottie London for a while, so I will see how I get along with this!
The next item is an eyeshadow duo from Jelly Pong-Pong.
I once had a lipbalm from Jelly Pong-Pong a long time ago, and to this day it was the best lip balm I have ever used, but I think they have now discontinued it.
I especially love the gold shde in this, it's such a smooth texture!
Finally are the treats from the box, a Double Trouble Gourmet Butter Fudge (which was delicious), Cranberry Tea for those cramps, and a 7th Heaven face mask, who I love! The tampons came in a cute pouch too, ideal for popping in your handbag.
Next up I took a look at Nature's Wish. This is a face oil brand which has COMPLETELY natural ingredients. I got a sample, and I'm really excited to use it at night to see if it helps with my dry skin.
Next up is some Matcha Tea from T-tox.
I've heard so much about Matcha and how amazing it is for your body inside and out, but I have always been put off by the colour. But the guy i spoke to on Friday gave me a sample of the Ginger infused powder, called "Matcha Energise", and said to try half a tea spoon in my smoothies, as I won't see the colour, but I will still get the health benefits, which is a genius idea!
I then went to a really cute stand by Dinki Belle Nail Wraps.
These I am really impressed with because they are completely non toxic and long wearing! I can't wait to try these, as having a bar job means my nails get ruined instantly, so if these last me longer than nail varnish, I think I will have found my manicure saviour!
I chose this gorgeous marble design, although there was so much to choose from, I was torn between these and a daisy print, but I thought these were pretty unique! There was also a mini application kit, and instructions.
Next up is a fave of mine, Sass and Belle.
I nearly died when I saw this stand, I love Sass and Belle, I literally spend hours trawling the website because everything is so damn cute!
They very kindly gave us a bag of goodies. First of is this adorable shopping bag that packs away into a sheep! This is so great as I'm going to keep it in my car so I always have a bag on hand which is so convenient.
Next is this suuuper cute glass with a watermelon design. This is going to be so perfect for summer to sip lemonade out of!
The final things are also going to be kept in my car as they are convenient! There's a pen with a stylus on the end, a plain page notebook and a nail file in the shape of a parrot, which I think is so fun! I'm really glad they included these items, especially the bag as they're all useful things that I wouldn't think of buying normally.
They also gave us a catalogue, and I am really considering buying this heart copper wire photo holder, it's gorgeous!
Next I went to a skincare stall by the brand Kathleen Natural.
I tried out the middle product on my hand, which is the Silk Miracle Essence and it felt so amazing and smooth! I think that the Caviar Enrich Eye Cream also looks really good, as I have the dryest skin around my eyes and suffer with dark circles.
Next was The Perfume Shop, who had this to die for display, how cute are the roses and this giant perfume bottle??
The perfume shop have recently launched a collaboration with Ghost, and created this perfume called Whitelight.
I literally fell in love with the smell of this, and so afterwards I purchased it in the store on Oxford Street.
Everything about this is a win for me, the bottle, the box, the smell. Gorgeous. I will be posting an in depth post about this soon, so keep your eyes open!
I also got given all of these samples which is very exciting as I love trying new scents out.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post, and maybe got some ideas of things to try out. If you are a blogger and haven't heard of The Bloggers Hangout, then I definitely recommend you check it out, it's worth it!
Thanks for reading
